Directions by Public Transit from Manhattan

Getting to the church from Manhattan by public transportation is easy. The NJ Transit stop for Plainfield is about 4 blocks from the church and 8 blocks from the reception.

From New York Penn Station, take the Northeast Corridor (Trenton) line to Newark Penn Station. Transfer at Newark to the Raritan Valley line and take it about a half hour to the Plainfield station.

Coming out of the station, exit to Watchung Ave and head South for four blocks. You will pass 4th, 5th, and 6th Streets and the Church will be at the intersection of Watchung Avenue and 7th Street. If you pass North Ave along Watchung, you are going the wrong way.

If you are going directly to the reception from the train, follow the above direction, but turn right on 7th Street. Then after a few blocks, turn left on Central Avenue and the address is 922 Central Avenue.

A round trip, off-peak ticket costs $13.75. The travel time, including walking, is a little more than an hour. Because of train schedules, you’d have to catch the 8:14 out of Penn Station to make it there in time. You’ll end up being a half hour early, but it’s either that or a half hour late. If you want anymore help, go to http://www.njtransit.com for more information. The itinerary planning is helpful. Your end destination is the landmark “Plainfield.”

Remember, if you're taking public transportation, you have Adam's good favor. He is seriously obsessed with it.
